Tempus Restaurant is located within the Palace Hotel, an iconic Mancunian landmark, recognised by the tall clock tower which presides over the magnificent Grade II listed building.

The impressive interior of the hotel’s restaurant makes for a sophisticated dining experience that combines comfort, style, taste and quality as standard. With dark, richly glazed decorative titles, complemented by the flicker of a candle in the evening, Tempus sets an ambience for any occasion, be it a private dining for smaller parties, or a pre-theatre meal. Our mission is to simply deliver mouth watering cuisine that caters to the dietary needs of our guests.

Owned by TV Chef Simon Rimmer and business partner Simon Connely, Greens opened in September 1990 as an intimate 30 cover vegetarian restaurant and continued virtually unchanged until 2004 when an extension and refurbishment increased the capacity to 48 covers. At this time Greens became licensed for the first time.

More recently a second expansion into the shop unit next door increased the dining area to 90 covers, whilst still retaining the intimate atmosphere that had always been an important part of Greens.

The restaurant remains one of Didsbury’s most popular restaurants, offering great quality vegetarian food and picking up a string of plaudets along the way including MFDF Restaurant of the Year, MFDF Best Provision for Vegetarians and AA Rosettes.

With the increased size Greens can now offer customers the opportunity to book all or part of the restaurant for private parties or weddings.

HARP Café, which is situated in the Zion Community Centre, Hulme, was first opened in February 1994. Our main funding comes through the Mental Health Joint Commissioning Team.

We serve cheap and nutritious food to people who use the centre, the local community and the staff working at the Zion. Freshly made sandwiches, home baked cakes, fruit and delicious cappuccinos are available throughout the day.

We provide two freshly cooked, healthy and nutritious options for a hot lunch from 12.30 daily, one of which is always vegetarian. We cook food from around the world and try new recipes all the time. The café is run by volunteers who have had, or are experiencing, mental health needs. Volunteers are enabled to do this with the help and support of our café co-ordinators.

Wagamama Restaurants are modelled on the ramen bars which have been popular in Japan for many years.

If you’ve never visited, the menu consists of side dishes, main meals and desserts – your order is taken on an electronic handheld and zapped through to the kitchen by radio signal where it is cooked immediately.

Freshness is a major part of the experience and offer at Wagamama, and so your dish will be delivered to your table as soon as it is ready.

This means different dishes may be delivered at different times.

The aim is don’t wait – just tuck in and share. Enjoy the wagamama experience!

A good, reliable and relaxed dining experience.

Twins Anthony Dunbar (Head Chef ) & Rachel Ireland (Front of House) are a pairing to be reckoned with, and may be the secret to the success of this well recognised, neighbourhood gem.

Isinglass serve modern British cuisine, using high quality, uber local food – grown and reared in the lush countrysides of Manchester or from independent local suppliers.

Fresh ingredients, skilful cooking, imagination, and flair are some of the foundations for Isinglass’ strong offer.

The menu is seasonal and served for the climate; from light fish dishes during summer months through to 28-day-aged, slow cooked Hereford Beef in winter with all the trimmings.

There are two dining rooms in this Victorian townhouse (which was once used as a bakery) featuring original fixtures including the iron cooking range, high ceilings, wood floors and traditional fireplaces.
